San Diego Fishing: Todo O Nada Is All In, Every Trip

  • Post author:

Some boats promise luxury. Others promise fish. Todo O Nada delivers both, and then some.

This isn’t your typical San Diego fishing trip. No oversized cattle boat. No waiting on someone else’s bite. Just you, your crew (max four), and a center console that doesn’t mess around. Ironclad Sportfishing’s Todo O Nada is the realest ride in town, and it runs tight. Real tight.

Built to Fish. Built to Move. Built to Win.

Let’s get straight to it: Todo O Nada is a 31-foot Oceanmaster, armed with twin Yamaha 300s (repowered in 2023), topping out at 50 knots. Translation? You’ll hit the bite before the others even hit the gas.

Most boats cruise. This one rips.

Add in state-of-the-art electronics, a massive bait tank, and open-deck freedom to cast, crank, or kick back in a beanbag chair—yeah, that’s a thing—and you’ve got a floating strike mission with attitude.

Bathroom on board? Check. Ice? Locked. Top-tier rods, reels, and tackle? Included. And yeah, bring your own gear if you want to flex—captain won’t judge.

San Diego Fishing Todo O Nada Is All In Every Trip

Five Hours. Three Anglers. Twenty-Six Fish.

We’re not talking brochure trips. We’re talking about a real five-hour run aboard Todo O Nada, straight from the captain’s own recap:

“One guy sat out—little hungover—but we still put 26 fish in the bag.”

That’s rockfish, reds, chili peppers, Picassos, green spots, stripes, and a couple Mexicans (yes, the fish). Kept icy cold in the keel bag, not some soggy cooler from the grocery store.

Every angler who shows up gets shots at quality fish. Even the one recovering from the night before.

San Diego Fishing That Actually Fishes

If you’ve searched San Diego fishing near me, you’ve probably seen 100 boats promising “fun for the whole family.” Cute. But if your version of fun means stacking reds on the rail, this is where you book.

Right now, the game is inshore, and the rockfish bite is solid. We’re talking reefs, structure, and tight drifts. It’s not sit-and-wait fishing. It’s drop, feel, hook, crank. Over and over again.

No distractions. No drifting aimlessly. Just real fishing with a real crew who actually cares if you catch.

Fish Fast. Fish Hard. Fish Smart.

Todo O Nada doesn’t waste time. You hit the water, throw lines in, and you’re on structure before most charters finish their safety speech.

This boat cruises 30–40 mph, letting you cover more ground, hit better spots, and adjust on the fly. If one reef’s dead? We’re gone. If the wind changes? We pivot.

Every trip includes:

Just don’t forget: bring your own lunch if you want something heavier. Fishing burns calories. Bring sandwiches, jerky, or a burrito that can take a hit.

Small Crew. Big Catch. Bigger Vibes.

With only four anglers max, there’s space to breathe and fish.

No fighting for rail. No overhearing 12 strangers talk politics. Just you, your people, and a deck built for real connection with the ocean, and with each other.

You’re not just on a boat. You’re on Todo O Nada. And the crew treats it that way whether it’s a mellow half-day or a hard-hitting offshore run.

Because you don’t need just a fishing trip. You need Todo O Nada.

San Diego Fishing Todo O Nada Is All In Every Trip
Ready to Roll? Good. We Already Are.

The boat’s fueled. The bait’s alive. The gear’s rigged. Only thing missing is you.

So if you’re serious about booking a San Diego fishing trip that actually lives up to the hype—skip the fluff. Go with the boat that already knows the mission.

Ironclad Sportfishing. Todo O Nada. Let’s put you on some fish.

I was in San Diego for my daughter’s graduation and decided on a last minute charter. Booked with Frank on the Todo O Nada and had an incredible experience from start to finish. Everything from booking to catching and getting our fish cleaned and prepped for a trip back to Texas was top notch. The boat and equipment were great and Frank and his partner Bink quickly had us trained on the techniques and on solid fish the first stop. Frank has tremendous knowledge and experience and was an absolute blast to fish with. We really appreciated his passion for fishing and creating great experiences for his clients. Will definitely be back for more.

Went out for full day. Despite the day starting off slow, action picked up quickly and consistently for afternoon. 5 total bluefin hooked, unfortunately lost one to an aggressive Sea lion. Great time with Capt. Frank and John, they got us on the fish! We'll see you guys again.
Response from the owner 01:53 11 Sep 24
Great having you, your brothers and nephews on the water. Those sea lions suck. Luckily we were able to get the second bluefin in with just a bit taken out of its head from the sea lion. Thanks again, hope to see you guys in the future.

We had a great time out with Captain Frank and George. Didn't catch much, but nobody else on radio did either so it was just a slow day. Frank was energetic and excited every time we had a shot at some fish, which made it fun even when we struck out. He went the extra mile, drove something like 90 nautical miles, and let us stay out an extra hour in search of a catch, which paid off when we did finally bring something in.Highlight of the trip was getting a hook on a marlin that one of our group members was able to reel in for a bit before it broke the line. Would 100% use Frank again next time we go fishing!

Thank you Conner, you guys were awesome and super laid back. When I heard it was a bachelor party I did not know what to expect. We appreciated your groups patience and hanging in there. See you next time!

Captain Frank and the Ironclad grew gave us a tremendous experience. We did the overnight and caught bluefin tuna, bonita, and yellowtail. These guys know what they are doing. The deckhands were also both experienced and very helpful. I highly recommend the Ironclad.

Went out on a 12hr trip and had a blast! My experience was largely in fresh water fishing and Frank and Jorge were incredibly patient in teaching me the ropes. Looking forward to the next time I can get out there on the Ironclad!

Frank and his crew were great! We had an amazing day of fishing! We hit yellowtail like crazy. Frank and his crew were super helpful to our whole group including extra help to our kids. The food and snacks on board were plentiful and delicious. The boat was great and had everything we needed for our day trip. It was a 5-star experience.

I have been out with Ironclad Sportfishing three times now. All day trips, 1 to San Clemente, 1 off shore, and 1 Coronado Islands trip. Sometimes we hit, sometimes not but that’s fishing. Capt Frank knows how to find the fish, he doesn’t grind it out rather he actively hunts to find the action. The boat has plenty of space for everyone to fish off the stern if needed but also has ample space on the bow for throwing irons or fighting monsters. You can’t go wrong with this company, if you need a spot filled, hit me up. 😂🤷‍♂️

Went out with Frank on a 3/4 day and had a great time. Super knowledgeable and cool captain. Took us out to some good spots and got plenty of fish. Great value especially considering he had rods, bait, and made us breakfast and lunch. Will definitely be going out with him again soon. 11/10 would recommend. Awesome experience!
